That means that 2,661 people who had no right to remain in the country have been added to the the labour force and therefore 2,661 are on the dole queue who need not otherwise be. In his press release of 2nd Jan. giving his end of year review of immigration matters, the Minister carefully avoided mentioning this. The following day, Enterprise Ireland announced a net gain of 3,800 jobs for 2012.The public was not to know that 2,661 needed to be subtracted from that figure. |
