ICP ON THE RECESSION

ICP on the Recession

It has been estimated that approximately 50% of our economic difficulties
arises from Irish government policies as opposed to international
factors. The foundationless "boom" based on a property bubble was the result
of a policy of maximisation of growth -as opposed to optimisation of
growth-fuelled necessarily by mass immigration.

Ahern, Cowen etc. insisted that we should be one of only 3 countries in the
EU to grant unrestricted access to the labour market and refused to listen
to any opposing voices. They issued work permits without any genuine testing
of the labour market.

Now 20% of our dole queue is composed of non-Irish nationals and probably a
higher percentage of rent supplement payments.
